いっぱい英会話
昨日はいくつかレッスンやアクティビティが続けてありました。
木曜日はとても充実した日です。
Guided conversation with Feronymous is a free style conversation practice. Today he showed us some pictures on a panel, and we were asked to describe what we thought they were about. We also tried to make a story with each scene using our full imagination. We had a very good conversation.
フェロニマス先生との自由会話レッスンでは、先生が見せる写真について、それがどんな状況なのか、何をしていると思うか、などを英語で説明してみました。いろいろと面白い写真を次から次に出してくださり、みんな自由に想像を膨らませながらがんばって話しました。
We had about an hour after Feronymous until the next class, so we decided to read some short stories together. I found some funny dialogues on the internet. We read one paragraph each at a time in turn. The stories were humorous, so it was really a fun and easy activity although there were some stories that were a little hard to understand.
次のレッスンはDuke先生。それまで時間が約１時間程空いたので、待っている間にみんなでショートダイアログを読むことにしました。面白そうな短い会話をそれぞれが一節ずつ読むんです。そんなつもりもなく短い会話を探していたら、たまたまジョークの様なものを見つけたので結構盛り上がりました。意味の分からないものも中にはありましたが、みんなでああだこうだと勝手に想像しながら読んでいたらあっという間にDuke先生の時間に。
Today's Duke's lesson was about "Rhyming" according to the May study theme. We read a short story created by Duke himself, and learned some new vocabulary. Then we answered some questions to test our comprehension. After that we went up to the conversation platforms and separated to smaller groups for some discussions on poems and popular songs with rhyming. It was interesting to know that many people become a poet when they are in love or being distressed at something in life.
今日の課題は「韻を踏む」でした。先生恒例の短編オリジナル会話を読んで新しい単語を習い、理解力を試すクイズをやりました。それから後半はスカイにあるConversation Platformで少人数グループに分かれて、詩やポピュラーソングの歌詞などの韻についてディスカッションしました。また、自分がどんな時に詩を書くか、その時に韻を踏むのが好きかなどではなかなか面白い意見が聞けました。やはり人が詩人になるのは恋をしたり、何かに悩んだりした時が多いようですね。
